London Track 3 Ski School Gets a Warmer Chalet

The London Track 3 Ski School received a much-needed heating upgrade thanks to a grant from the Sifton Family Foundation. The nearly $13,000 in funding covered the cost of a new furnace, ensuring the school’s chalet remains warm and comfortable for students and volunteers throughout the winter season.

For 35 years, London Track 3 has provided a safe, inclusive, and rewarding downhill skiing, sit skiing, and snowboarding experience for individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities. Located at Boler Mountain, the volunteer-run, non-profit organization supports an average of 110 students annually, offering specialized instruction and adaptive equipment during an intensive 7-week winter program. With nearly 210 dedicated volunteers, the program promotes inclusion and equitable participation in winter sports.

“A warm and welcoming space is essential for our students, and this grant will ensure they have a comfortable place to warm up between ski runs,” said Jennifer Cross, a Track 3 volunteer.

The new furnace installation was completed before the start of the 2024/25 winter season, ensuring that students and volunteers can continue to enjoy an accessible and inclusive ski season.
