Play for All at the London Children’s Museum

All children deserve access to play-based learning opportunities that support their healthy social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. The Sifton Family Foundation is thrilled to partner with the London Children’s Museum to provide children and families with free access to enriching play-based learning experiences.

With a grant of $30,000 from the Sifton Family Foundation, the London Children’s Museum is providing:

  • Over 400 children with autism spectrum disorder, physical or cognitive disabilities, and sensory processing considerations with a quieter museum experience during Sensory Friendly Evenings.

  • Over 300 children and grown-ups with hands-on learning during Community Partner Nights.

  • 43 campers with an unforgettable week of Summer Day Camp, allowing children facing financial barriers to make new friends and create lifelong memories.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Sifton Family Foundation for supporting our Access to Play initiatives. Time and time again, we hear from the community about the value these programs provide,” said Kate Ledgley, Executive Director, London Children’s Museum. “Thank you, Sifton Family Foundation, for helping us ensure children and their families have access to hands-on learning opportunities!”

The London Children’s Museum has been providing children and their families with hands-on learning opportunities for over 47 years. The first children’s museum in Canada, their mission is to curate powerful play experiences through immersive environments, authentic materials, and meaningful relationships. As a champion for children, they advocate for their unique perspectives, contributions, and ways of learning.
